Business Model
Tooka TV will be supported by advertising revenue through sales of traditional television advertising media placement. Zenith, part of Publicis Media, predicts that ad spending in Iran will grow $713 million by 2020 to reach $2.12 billion. The world-wide Farsi-speaking population is approximately 140 million (about the same as the number of people who speak German). This is a huge consumer audience base which will attract worldwide commercial partners.

Channel Content
Tooka TV will provide quality programming to Farsi-speaking audiences all over the world via free direct satellite broadcast and streaming internet. Tooka TV will license and translate content that is family-friendly with a special emphasis on programming for children – an audience that is currently under-served on other Persian language video channels. Tooka TV will be broadcast into the Middle East via satellite, including the Hotbird and Yahsat Satellites.
Company Summary
Tooka TV was inspired by -and is an outgrowth of- Radio Tooka, a Farsi language Internet radio service that began in 2013 and now reaches tens of thousands of listeners without any promotion. Tooka TV will utilize the translation and voice talent of native Farsi speakers both in the United States and our planned translation studio in Malaysia.
