Advertising Revenue

Our research has included the identification of 31 other commercial satellite TV channels broadcasting in Farsi and we’ve done an analysis of their advertising revenue. Based on competitive advertising rates of comparable Farsi language satellite TV channels, we can determine revenue for Tooka TV. Using the chart below, we can project that even if Tooka TV were to only sell 20% of its available 30-second spot avails at the minimum price charged by competing channels, Tooka TV would return gross income of approximately $4 million during its first year of operation. More aggressive projections indicate a potential first-year income of $8-10 million. Streaming video content on YouTube, and other social media platforms will also generate additional revenue streams.

 

Internet Revenue

In addition to the advertising revenue from our major streamed programs, a portion of our licensed content can also be made available as pre-roll video clips or segments on the Internet via YouTube and other video providers. These video clips can be monetized to create an additional revenue stream.

 

Intangibles

Although Tooka TV is structured as a profitable venture, that is not the primary consideration. The Farsi-speaking population (and Iran in particular) has a rapidly changing demographic with over 50% of the people under 30 years old.  These are people with families and young children who are on the verge of changing their national leadership and their culture. They yearn for freedom of expression and freedom from an oppressive regime. Tooka TV is strongly mission-driven as well as profit-driven. Its goals are to grow a generation of Iranians from childhood up who value human life, who act responsibly at home and on the world stage, and who seek to live peacefully in the Middle East and in the world.
